Design principles

Shared UX rules for Minimum Labs public surfaces and lab notes. Even small experiments should be readable, interruptible, and easy to revisit.

  1. Clarity over decoration — one primary action per view where possible.
  2. Progressive disclosure — advanced paths exist, but the default path stays obvious.
  3. Respect for attention — no dark patterns; loading and errors stay honest and readable.
  4. System consistency — same primitives across experiments so learning transfers.
  5. Human in the loop — automations are visible, interruptible, and easy to review.
